This is brilliant.
I hadn't heard about this until today. Sounds like a great project.
It looks like that partnership with Via isn't going to materialize. We presented them with the idea of having Michelle use their services to help get her town networked. As the project developed she would blog about her progress, thus giving them some publicity.
They were excited about this proposal at first but it seems their interest has waned.

Via Technologies has expressed interest in Developing Words. They're a Taiwanese based company best known for manufacturing motherboard chips.
They're got a project called the Via pc-1 initiative which aims to help people in developing nations get online. Forward thinking companies like Via understand that by reaching out to those in need, you can find potential future customers. Hopefully we'll get a chance to work with them!
